Red Dragons Play to 0-0 Tie vs. Keene St. at RIT Tournament

Senior goalie Pam Monnier made six saves to earn the shutout
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Cortland women's soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime draw versus Keene St. Saturday afternoon in the opening round of the RIT Rachel Miller Tournament. Keene St. (1-0-1) advanced to the championship game by virtue of winning a penalty-kick shootout, 3-1, and meets host RIT on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The Red Dragons (0-1-1) face John Carroll in the consolation game at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Senior goalie Pam Monnier (East Northport/Northport) made six saves to post the shutout, while Keene St.'s Megan Dempsey stopped eight shots. The Owls out shot Cortland, 15-14, in the game and 2-1 in the first overtime session. The Red Dragons, however, had the only three shots of the second overtime.
