Ashley Cook and Ally Levy Earn Weekly Women's Lax Honors

Cortland freshman attacker Ashley Cook (Commack) and sophomore goalie Ally Levy (Reisterstown, MD/Seton Keough) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's lacrosse Player and Goalie of the Week, respectively, for the week ending April 10.

In addition, Levy has been selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III Upstate New York Defensive Player of the Week.

Cook totaled nine goals and four assists during a 3-0 week for the nationally fifth-ranked Red Dragons. She scored four times and picked up four ground balls in a 10-5 win at Brockport on Tuesday and recorded two goals and two assists in a 17-7 win versus William Smith on Thursday. She capped the week Saturday with three goals and two assists in a 13-8 win at Buffalo State. For the season, Cook is third on Cortland's squad with 30 points on 23 goals and seven assists.

Levy posted a 3-0 mark in the cage with a 6.40 goals against average and a .543 save percentage. She made nine saves each in the wins over Brockport and William Smith. For the season, she has an 8-0 record with a 7.95 GAA and a .524 save percentage. Levy was also the SUNYAC Goalie of the Week for the week ending March 27.

Cortland is 10-1 overall and 3-0 in SUNYAC play. The Red Dragons have won eight straight games, and their lone defeat came at nationally top-ranked The College of New Jersey.
