Cortland senior Tom Adamescu (Canandaigua/Canandaigua Academy) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending Oct. 23.

Adamescu was Cortland's top finisher at the Cornell University John Reif Memorial Run last Friday. He placed 19th overall, and 11th among collegiate entries, with a time of 16 minutes, 48.3 seconds over 5,000 meters. 
 
Cortland will compete at the SUNYAC Championships on Saturday in Oswego.
