Audra Clark have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Basketball Coaching Staff of the Year for the 2021-22 season in a vote of the league's coaches. In addition, four Red Dragons were chosen to the All-SUNYAC team. Junior

Nyia Longford (Medford/Longwood) is a second-team selection, and
Corinne Miedreich (Pearl River) is on the third team.
Brooks heads the coaching staff that has currently led Cortland this winter to a 21-5 record, the SUNYAC regular-season title (16-2 mark), and its second straight NCAA Division III tournament at-large berth. Brooks also led the league's top coaching staff during the 2019-20 season (the 2020-21 season was canceled). Cortland was the SUNYAC tournament runner-up, and the Red Dragons will face DeSales University in the NCAA first round this Friday at 5 p.m. at Tufts University in Massachusetts.
Malone is averaging a team-high 11.4 points per game along with 5.4 rebounds per game in 26 starts to date. She's shooting 30 percent from 3-point range with 34 made treys and is 87 percent from the foul line. She scored in double figures 15 times, including 22 points in wins over Geneseo and Plattsburgh and 21 in a win over Buffalo State. Malone averaged 13 points per game in SUNYAC regular-season contests.
McGuire, in 26 starts this season, is averaging 8.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.6 steals and a team-high 3.2 assists per game. She's made a team-best 43 3-pointers and is 40 percent from behind the arc, and she's a 77 percent free throw shooter. Her 10 double-figure scoring games include 26 points in a win over Potsdam, 18 in a win against Plattsburgh, and 16 in a victory over Buffalo State. McGuire averaged 9.8 points per game in SUNYAC regular-season action, and 38 of her 43 3-pointers came during Cortland's 18 league games.
Longford also has started 26 games this winter and is averaging 9.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. She's also averaging 1.5 steals per game and shares the team lead with 20 blocked shots. Longford has scored in double figures 15 times. She registered 20 points and 14 rebounds at Hartwick, scored 18 in a win over Oneonta, and scored 17 points in a victory at Fredonia.
Miedreich has come off the bench in 25 games this season and averages 9.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest. She's shooting 46 percent from the floor overall and 45 percent (26-of-58) from 3-point range. Miedreich's 12 double-figure scoring games include 19 in a win over Potsdam, 18 in a non-league victory against Neumann, and 17 each in a regular-season win over Oneonta and in the SUNYAC finals against New Paltz.
