Cortland sophomore pitcher James LaBruno (Oceanport, NJ/Shore Regional) has earned a spot on the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week for the week ending March 5. The team consists of the top players for the week, by position, among all Division III schools. LaBruno is the lone relief pitcher chosen to the team. 
 
LaBruno earned a save in Cortland's 11-2 win last Saturday at nationally 11th-ranked Shenandoah. He pitched four hitless and scoreless innings with one walk and six strikeouts. 
 
In three appearances this season, LaBruno has a 3.38 ERA and has allowed three hits and three walks with 10 strikeouts in eight innings pitched. 
 
Cortland (5-3), ranked 17th nationally in Division III, will face 20th-ranked Marietta College in three-day, three-game series Thursday through Saturday in Lexington, S.C., followed by three games versus Case Western Reserve, also in Lexington, March 12-14.
