For the third straight week, Cortland freshman Gina Milazzo (Greenwood Lake/Warwick Valley) has been named the Northeast Women's Golf Conference's (NWGC) Rookie of the Week. Her latest award is for the week ending Oct. 13.
 
Milazzo finished in a three-way tie for first on Friday at the NWGC Fall Classic and tied for second on Saturday at the NWGC Fall Invitational. She scored an 80 on the par-72 Van Patten Golf Club layout Friday with 11 pars. Her 81 on Saturday, one shot off the lead, on the par-70 Mohawk River Country Club course included a birdie and seven pars.
 
In 11 rounds this fall, Milazzo scored an 81 or better nine times, including six rounds in the 70s.
 
Cortland has concluded the fall portion of its schedule. The Red Dragons return to action next spring.
