Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) have earned weekly Swimming and Diving awards from the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) for the week ending Feb. 2. Kohlhoff is the SUNYAC Men's Diver of the Week, Bernhardt is the SUNYAC Women's Swimmer of the Week and Haberlack is the SUNYAC Women's Diver of the Week.
Kohlhoff earned his honor for the third straight time and sixth time overall this year. He convincingly broke the Cortland school record for 1-meter diving (11 dives) with a score of 547.25 points to win the event at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Memorial Invitational last Saturday. The previous school record was 509.90 points.
Bernhardt won her SUNYAC award for the third time this season. She won both the 500-yard freestyle (5:14.22) and the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.51) in a five-team field at Merchant Marine Academy. The 500 freestyle performance was her season best.
Haberlack earned her honor for the sixth time this year. She was Cortland's top diver with 11-dive scores of 433.70 points on the 1-meter board and 437.65 points on the 3-meter board at Merchant Marine. Both scores were her career bests.
Cortland wraps up its regular-season schedule this Saturday with competitors at both a dual meet hosted by Fredonia and at the Alfred State Diving Invitational.
