Cortland graduate student Josh Jeffes (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) has been selected as the 2024-25 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year and graduate student Amarian Hughes (Newburgh/Marlboro) is the repeat selection as the SUNYAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year in a vote of the league's coaches.
 
In addition, Cortland head coach Steve Patrick and his assistants, Chad Dunham, Peter McGinnis, Curtis Merrick, Maris Seabury, Mitch Makowski and Marissa Formes-Patrick, have been named both the SUNYAC Men's Coaching Staff of the Year and the SUNYAC Women's Coaching Staff of the Year for the indoor season.
 
The league's postseason awards are given out following the completion of the NCAA championship meets and recognize performances throughout the entire season.
 
Jeffes anchored Cortland's national champion 4x400-meter relay team that set a school record in 3:12.59 at the NCAA Division III championship meet earlier this month. He also earned first-team All-America honors with a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash (47.95). Jeffes won SUNYAC titles in both the 200-meter dash (21.93, 21.83 prelims) and 400-meter dash (48.50, 47.98 prelims) and he was part of Cortland's winning 4x200-meter relay team at the AARTFC Championships (school-record time 1:27.00).
 
Hughes won the NCAA Division III title in the triple jump with a distance of 15.35 meters (50' 4.5"). That effort broke his own school record of 15.34 meters, which he set while winning the SUNYAC title in the event.
 
Patrick and his staff helped guide Cortland's men to a fifth-place national team finish, a third-place showing at the AARTFC Championships and a first-place finish out of 12 schools at the SUNYAC Championships. On the women's side, Cortland won the SUNYAC title and had a national qualifier and All-AARTFC performer in sprinter Autumn Pittman (Spring Valley/Ramapo).
