Massoni, Madigan and Fuerbacher Earn All-SUNYAC Women's Tennis Honors

Cortland sophomore Christina Massoni (West Babylon), senior Emma Madigan (Endicott/Union-Endicott) and senior Preston Fuerbacher (Fairport) have earned State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's tennis all-conference honors for the 2024-25 season. Massoni was named second team all-league at first singles, Madigan was selected as second team all-league at third singles, Fuerbacher was chosen as second team at fifth singles, and Massoni and Madigan were recognized as second team all-conference at first doubles.
 
Madigan earned all-league honors for the third straight year. She was a first team singles player in 2022-23 and a second team singles player in 2023-24. Massoni and Madigan were second team all-league in doubles in 2023-24. The conference changed its all-league teams to recognized singles players and doubles teams by flights this year.
 
Massoni finished 5-4 at first singles this past season, including 3-2 in SUNYAC regular-season play. Madigan posted a 9-2 singles record for the season, including 8-2 at third singles and 1-0 at first singles. She was 4-1 in the SUNYAC regular season.
 
As a doubles unit, Massoni and Madigan finished 7-3 at first doubles, including a 4-1 mark in conference play. Madigan finished with an overall doubles record of 7-4.
 
Fuerbacher recorded a 6-5 record for the season, including a 3-2 mark in SUNYAC action. She was 5-3 at fifth singles along with two matches at number four and one at number three.
 
Cortland finished the season with a 6-5 mark overall and 3-2 in SUNYAC play. The Red Dragons finished the season in third place in the league and earned a spot in the four-team SUNYAC tournament. Cortland lost to Oswego in the semifinals and tied for third place.
