Cortland Men's and Women's Teams Earns CSCAA Academic Awards; Kadota-Browner Individual Honoree

The SUNY Cortland men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been recognized as Scholar All-America Teams for the 2024-25 season by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The CSCAA Scholar All-America team awards are given to programs that have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2025 spring semester. The Red Dragon women finished with a 3.33 team GPA for the semester and the men finished with a 3.25 team GPA among all team members who competed in at least one meet during the season.

In addition, sophomore Kazuki Kadota-Browner (Jericho) was named to the CSCAA Individual Scholar All-America Men's second team. Individual honorees must achieve a 3.50 GPA. First teamers also must have participated at nationals, while second teamers must have competed at either diving zone qualification meets or have achieved "B" standards in their event.

Kadota-Browner, a physical education major, posted a 3.79 GPA during the spring semester. He was an NCAA Division III Region 4 (Northeast/South) Diving Regional qualifier last spring, finishing seventh on the 1-meter board and ninth on the 3-meter board.
