Junior women's ice hockey forward Katie Mahoney (Toronto, ON/Toronto Leaside Junior) and junior wrestler Culley Bellino (Canastota) have been named the SUNY Cortland Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 4.

Katie Mahoney

Katie was named the MVP of the Utica University Kick Off Tournament after leading the Red Dragons to the team title. She assisted on the game-tying goal in an OT win over 13th-ranked Colby in the semifinals. In the finals, she had a goal and an assist in a 4-4 tie vs. Wilkes, and she tallied the lone goal in the shootout that gave the Red Dragons the title.

Culley Bellino

Culley went 4-0 with four pins, each in less than two minutes, to win the 141-pound title at the Williams College Open. He pins included a 43-second victory in the semifinals and a win in 1:13 in the finals.
