CAMILLUS, N.Y. – The Cortland women's golf team earned its second tournament title in as many days, placing first out of four teams at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Fall Classic.

The one-day tournament, which wraps up Cortland's fall season, was held at the Camillus Golf Club, and was the second of two fall tournaments sponsored by the conference. Cortland won the NWGC Fall Invitational on Monday. The official NWGC Championship is scheduled for next April.

Cortland finished with a score of 336, defeating Nazareth (353) by 17 strokes and St. John Fisher (360) by 24. Geneseo finished fourth at 381.

Chloe Tice (Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse) earned tournament medalist honors in the 30-golfer field with a six-over-par 79 on the par-73 course. She finished one stroke ahead of teammates Gina Milazzo (Greenwood Lake/Warwick Valley) and Pia Aguilar (Santiago, Chile/Colegio Highlands), the latter an individual entry, along with Nazareth's Emily Mayer.

Tice birdied four holes, including three on the way to a 38 on the back nine. Milazzo finished the day with a birdie and 11 pars and Aguilar birdied three of the first five holes on the back nine, followed by pars on the final four holes, to card a 37 on that side.

Mimi Rienzo (Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg) was part of a three-way tie for sixth place with an 87, and Steffi Trombley (Plattsburgh) finished 11th with a 90. Individual entries Lilyana Wehrle (Marcy/Whitesboro) and Sara Pepp (East Islip) finished 13th (92) and tied for 14th (94), respectively, to place in top half of the field.
