Junior women's ice hockey defender Carlen Bertrand (Timmins, ON/MCLA) and senior men's basketball forward Aaron Coston (Kerhonkson/Rondout Valley) have been named the SUNY Cortland Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 15.

Carlen scored five points on two goals and three assists and registered a (+5) on-ice rating in a 2-0-1 week at home. She scored the game-tying goal in the second period and had the primary assist on the overtime game winner in a 2-1 victory over William Smith, and she had a goal and an assist in a 10-1 over Buffalo State. She also had the primary assist in a 1-1 tie versus Hamilton.

Aaron Coston

Aaron averaged 30.5 points and 10 rebounds per game and shot 83 percent from the field in two road wins as Cortland clinched the SUNYAC regular-season title. He scored a career-high 29 points on 11-of-14 shooting in a win at Canton on Friday, then posted another career high with 32 points on 13-of-15 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds in a win at second-place Oswego the following afternoon.
