CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Cortland men's basketball team posted its largest margin of victory in 73 years and the third-best in program history with a 104-41 win over visiting Potsdam. The SUNYAC-leading Red Dragons (17-4, 13-1 SUNYAC) led 51-9 at halftime on the way to the rout.

Cortland's 63-pont victory is the best since a 107-43 win over Oswego during the 1952-53 season. Four games earlier that season, Cortland beat Mansfield by 74 points, 118-44, which still stands as the school record. Potsdam's 41 points are the fewest allowed by Cortland since a 70-35 win at Fredonia in January 2014.

Cortland made 20 3-pointers, one shy of tying the school single-game record of 21 made at New Paltz in January 2019. Seven Red Dragons made at least two treys.
Isaiah Austin (Albany) finished 5-for-9 from the arc,
Joel Davis (Watertown) and
Xavier Leveille (Blauvelt/Tappan Zee) each hit 3-of-5 from deep,
Kendall Arcuri (Staten Island/St. Joseph by-the-Sea) was 3-for-6, and
Nolan Raymond (Queens Village/Vermont Academy),
Aaron Coston (Kerhonkson/Rondout Valley) and
Gavyn Pacheco (Hopewell Junction/John Jay-East Fishkill) made two 3-pointers apiece.

Davis finished with a season-high 23 points along with 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Austin scored 17 points, and Coston came close to a triple-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. He also blocked three shots.

Raymond recorded 11 points and six assists. Arcuri and Leveille each scored nine points, with Arcuri also adding nine rebounds and three assists. Pacheco scored eight points and
Chris McDonald (Orchard Park) grabbed eight rebounds.

Timoth Hardy finished with 10 points and five rebounds and Mike Hancock scored eight points for Potsdam (1-20, 1-13 SUNYAC).

Cortland finished the game shooting 52 percent from the floor, including 58 percent (19-of-33) in the second half. The Red Dragons made 20-of-41 3-pointers (49 percent), fueled by 10-of-15 accuracy in the second half. Potsdam was held to less than 10 percent shooting in the first half (3-of-31) and finished at 27 percent.

Cortland's four seniors- Arcuri,
Gaige Armbrewster (Oakfield/Oakfield-Alabama), Austin and Coston were honored prior to the game. Cortland's final four regular-season games are on the road, starting with games next Friday at Canton and Saturday at league second-place Oswego (12-2 SUNYAC).
