Brunache, Centrone, Collette and Sepulveda Named SUNY Cortland Athletes of the Week

Four Red Dragons - men's indoor track and field throwers Isaiah Brunache (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) and Evan Collette (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) and jumper Manuel Sepulveda (East Rochester), and wrestler Angelo Centrone (Mahopac) - have been named the SUNY Cortland Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 15 after earning All-America honors at their respective national championships.

Isaiah Brunache

Isaiah earned two first-team All-America honors at the NCAA DIvision III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships. He finished fifth in the weight throw with a distance of 18.82 meters (61' 9") and seventh in the shot put at 17.00 meters (55' 9.25"). He's now a career six-time All-American between indoor and outdoor seasons.

Evan Collette

Evan earned first-team All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships in the weight throw. Entering nationals seeded 18th, he finished in seventh place with a distance of 18.69 meters (61' 4") for his first All-America recognition.

Manuel Sepulveda

Manuel finished eighth in the triple jump at the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships with a distance of 14.71 meters (48' 3.25") to earn first-team All-America honors. He's an All-American in the event for the second straight year - he placed seventh last year while competing for St. John Fisher.

Angelo Centrone

Angelo repeated as an All-American at 149 pounds with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships. He posted a 3-2 record with a pin and two major decisions, and one of his losses came in overtime. Angelo finished his career with a 98-12 record.
