Katie Mahoney (Toronto, ON/Toronto Leaside Junior) has been selected as a 2025-26 CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Division III Women's Hockey All-American, becoming the first player in program history to earn All-America honors. Mahoney was chosen to the All-America East second team.
The junior was also named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Year and a first team All-SUNYAC honoree earlier this month. Mahoney skated in all 28 games during the season for the Red Dragons, providing 31 points on 11 goals and 20 assists, and winning 308-of-503 faceoffs for a 61.2% winning percentage. Her 31 points were the most in the SUNYAC, while her 0.71 assists per game were tied for 18th in the nation.
Mahoney registered at least one point in 18-of-28 games, including a 10-game point streak, and recorded 10 multi-point games for the year. She also netted the game-winning goal in a road victory at Buffalo State and in a home win over Morrisville.
Mahoney provided five assists in three games during the SUNYAC tournament for Cortland, as the Red Dragons reached the conference championship game for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Cortland finished the season with a 16-8-4 overall record.
