Cortland firstyear competitors
Auttumn Ayakawa (Honolulu, HI/Coppell (TX)) and
James DuTremble (Pleasantville/Briarcliff), and Cortland head coach
Brian Tobin and his assistant coaches, including diving coach
Veronica Ribot-Canales, have earned postseason swimming and diving honors from the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) for the 2025-26 season.

Ayakawa has been chosen as both the SUNYAC Women's Diver of the Year and Rookie of the Year, while DuTremble has been named the SUNYAC Men's Rookie of the Year. Tobin and his staff, including assistant coaches
Beth Tomlinson, Alex Zelinski,
Mason Rowlands, Tom Eickelbert and Ryan have been selected as both the SUNYAC Men's Swimming Coaching Staff of the Year and the Women's Swimming Coaching Staff of the Year, and Ribot-Canales has been named the SUNYAC Women's Diving Coach of the Year.

Ayakawa won SUNYAC titles in both 1-meter diving and 3-meter diving, and she qualified for the NCAA Division III regionals. DuTremble was the SUNYAC champion in the 500-yard freestyle and finished second in the 200-yard freestyle.

Under Ribot-Canales' guidance, Cortland had two women's divers - Ayakawa and
Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) - qualify for NCAA regionals. In addition, Haberlack finished second in the conference on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, and
Sophia Sugrue (Clay/Cicero-North Syracuse) finished fifth on the 1-meter board, along with Ayakawa's two conference crowns.

The Cortland women's swimming and diving team won its second straight SUNYAC title and earned a total of 22 top-three finishes at the conference championship meet. The Cortland men finished second at the conference championship and recorded 17 top-three finishes.
