Senior women's outdoor track and field thrower Jennifer Ndukwu (Queens/Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School) and junior baseball pitcher Ryan McLaughlin (Warwick/Warwick Valley) have been named the SUNY Cortland Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 5.

Jennifer Ndukwu

Jennifer broke the Cortland school record in the hammer throw with her winning distance of 53.69 meters (176' 2") at the Cortland Red Dragon Open. Her performance ranks fourth nationally in Division III and first in the SUNYAC.

Ryan McLaughlin

Ryan pitched five hitless innings with six strikeouts and one walk allowed in a 21-2 win over Canton. He retired the first 14 batters he faced before issuing a two-out walk in the fifth.
