Cortland senior third baseman Trey McGowan (Blue Point/Bayport-Blue Point) and senior outfielder Lucas Granger (Horseheads) have been selected to the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division III Region 3 All-Defensive Team.
 
McGowan started all 42 games in which he appeared and finished the season with a .962 fielding percentage. He committed just five errors in 131 total chances (40 putouts, 86 assists), and he was part of 12 double plays.
 
Granger started all 43 games for the Red Dragons and recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, committing no errors with 116 putouts and three assists. In two seasons at Cortland, Granger has only one error in 175 total fielding chances.
 
Cortland finished the season with a 30-12-1 record, including a 15-1 mark to win the SUNYAC regular-season title. The Red Dragons repeated as SUNYAC tournament champion and extended their Division III record to 33 straight NCAA tournament appearances, and they reached the 30-win mark for the 22nd straight full season. Cortland finished 1-2 in a regional hosted by Denison University in Granville, Ohio, to tie for 33rd place nationally.
